5 Tips to Help you stay Happy, Healthy and Fit!



If you have been following me for a while you know my struggle and weight loss journey and how i've lost 40lbs so far through exercise and changing the way I eat. I have been working out straight for about a year now, I do love it and my body feeds off cardio everyday but for the past 6 days I haven't been able to even put my running shoes on. I am physically TIRED! I have to admit I don't feel a bit of guilt and have been enjoying the extra time i have for other things. If you like me have been on fitness roller coaster, I truly believe this off time is even necessary. So what am i doing to maintain my weight with no exercise, i am taking a magic pill called "Watch what I eat". Yes i take note of everything that goes in my body and drink lots lots of water. I actually lost 1.5 this week without exercise.

Here's my 5 tips to help you stay Healthy, Happy and Fit!

1. SLEEP- This is is kind of a no brainer, you know exactly how you feel when you get no or not enough sleep. Your mood, concentration and metabolism are affected giving you that groggy sluggish feeling all day. When you sleep your body repairs itself, and it's able to function to it's potential.

2. Healthy Eating- This can be the hardest part of your journey but the most important. Start with portion control and move on to fruits and veggies gradually. Pack a healthy snack on the go so that you are fulling your body constantly.

 3. Positive Thinking- Yes! Positive thinking is a VERY important factor in our daily life. A negative mind will see the impossible in everything, a positive mind will breaks through walls, climb mountains and helps you reach your maximum. Surround yourself with people who are not only on your team, but that share the same passion and positivity as you.

4. EXERCISE- It really does give you life. When i go for my morning walk/jog return home and take an awesome shower i feel brand new, full of life! All you need is 30 min 3-4 days a week. You can go for a light walk, jog, use the elliptical at the gym whatever you want, just get your heart rate going.

5. Drink LOTS of Water-  You know by now the average adult human body is 50-65% water, averaging around 57-60% FEED IT!!! Water is one of the best ways to improve your overall health and keep your body happy. And with all the strain put on our body daily and the sun draining us dry, water helps you stay focused and hydrated. It will also help suppress your appetite.

There you have it, 5 easy ways I stay in check and keep my body in check. The journey is not easy but with a little effort it all falls into place.
