Exploring at Dinosaur World, FL

We spent our Memorial day exploring Dinosaur World in central Florida. With over 200 Dinosaur exhibits and more than 20 acres to explore, Dinosaur world will satisfy your curiosity of these feared predators ever to walk this planet.
The moment we entered the park my kids were in awe except my 5yr old, the life size exhibits seemed a bit too real, I had to assure her over and over they were not and will not move. She eventually got over the fear and had a great experience.  I appreciate that the place is very clean, well-maintained and offered a myriad of activities for children especially age 3-10yrs old. When you walk in you will notice 2 large playgrounds and picnic areas. One of the playground is designed for kids under 5yrs old, the other for older kids. Food is not sold at Dinosaur World but you will find various drinks and snacks machines throughout the park. Bring your own lunch and enjoy a lovely picnic in the shaded picnic areas.

My 5 and 8yr old enjoyed digging for fossils and were even more happy when they were able to bring 3 of them home. This is a scheduled activity offered through out the day so make sure to grab a program schedule.

We then followed a walking trail to the woods to view all sorts of statues displaying dinosaurs in every state: caring for their young, swimming, attacking each other, and more. We literally spent about 2 hours admiring and reading about each Dinosaur, and feeding the fishes.

I loved how they are placed to look natural in the environment, like in the water, trees or bushes.

We also attended an interesting interactive talk with a paleontologist, which also allowed us to ask any questions about these amazing creatures. Other attractions were along the path, including a sandbox where kids can use paleontologist tools to brush sand off of pretend bones.

Admission to Dinosaur World is very reasonable, and parking is completely free. This is the ideal place for a relaxing, fun day without the crowd and long lines. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
