Free Admission for Birthday Guests
Every birthday should be wild!  Let Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo make it a birthday to remember. The birthday guest will enjoy FREE daytime admission into the Zoo to celebrate with 1,000 animal friends.  Guest must present acceptable proof of birth date: driver’s license, birth certificate, passport or military ID. Offer must be redeemed on the individual’s actual birthday with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not combinable with other offers or discounts.

White Elephant Sale
Saturday, June 7 9 a.m.–3 p.m. (or until merchandise is gone)
Zoo Pass Holders-Only Hour 8 a.m.–9 a.m.*
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to shop for an array of collectable and unique items. Browse through the Zoo’s assortment of seasonal and holiday décor from annual events like ZooBoo and Wild Wonderland. Shoppers will also have the opportunity to purchase retail fixtures, merchandising supplies and other items only available to the trade. Items may range from a few dollars to several hundred. See event signage for specific limitations on selected items. No previews or early entry prior to the sale date, no exceptions. Zoo admission is not required to enter the sale. Shoppers enter the sale in the gated event space to the west of the Zoo’s main entrance. Visit for more information.

Zoo School Summer Camps presented by Outback Steakhouse
Weeks of June 9-August 11 • 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (extended care available)
Zoo School at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo offers 100+ week-long adventure camps for students who have completed K-8th grades. Kids and teens can learn about nature, science and the animal kingdom with animal encounters, keeper talks, educational shows, games, crafts and more.  Find updates at or call 813-935-8552 ext. 268.   

Father’s Day Weekend (BOGO)
June 14-15 • 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Zoo is wild about dads – bring yours for free!  In honor of Father’s Day, dads receive free admission on Saturday, June 14 or Sunday, June 15 with the purchase of their son’s or daughter’s full-priced admission ticket (son or daughter can be adult or child ages 3-11). For dads to receive free ticket offer, the son’s or daughter’s paid ticket must be purchased on June 14 or 15 only. Offer not combinable with other discounts.

Red, White & Zoo Holiday Weekend presented by Beef O’ Brady’s
July 4-6 • 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
In honor of Independence Day, military personnel (active-duty, retirees and veterans) and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for free on July 4-6, 2014.  The military member will need to show a Department of Defense photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket counter. Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult with a valid military I.D. must accompany minors. Not valid with any other discounts or offers. No rain checks.

Grab your teddy bear and head to the Zoo for a “beary” good time! Enjoy special activities, keeper talks, and music and fun with Radio Disney Tampa Bay.

Introducing WaZoo University, or WaZoo U! The Zoo welcomes beer enthusiasts to a “beer school” event in advance of WaZoo, the Zoo’s annual beer fest fundraiser. Guests will be invited to relax in the cool comfort of the Zoo’s Safari Lodge where they will join local brewmasters and breweries who create the carefully-crafted concoctions. Learn about the art of brewing and evolution of beer while tasting some brews. Details to come. Tickets on sale in June at Follow WaZoo on Facebook.

* NEW * Pachyderm Pool Party for Mavi’s 1st Birthday
Saturday, July 26 • 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
It’s a pool party so the elephants brought their trunks! Join us for some fun in the sun as Mavi, the elephant calf, turns one. While the elephant herd receives a variety of special enrichments and birthday treats served pool-side, guests can enjoy music and entertainment from Radio Disney Tampa Bay, special activities, keeper talks and more. This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass holders.

* NEW * African Safari Sleepover for K-8th Graders
Saturday, July 26 • 7 p.m.-8 a.m.
Take a nighttime safari through forests and savannahs to discover some of the animals of this mysterious continent, led by Zoo School summer camp instructors. Price is $35 per child (sorry, no adults). Advance registration is required. Register online or call 813-935-8552 ext. 268

WaZoo Beer Fest presented by J.J. Taylor Distributing Florida, Inc.
Saturday, August 2 • 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Named one of the “10 Great Beer Festivals in the Country” by USA Today, this 19th annual tropical taste explosion features 275 beers and beverages from around the world, food sampling from favorite restaurants, and live music on multiple stages. Beat the heat with the “Beastly Beverage Club” (VIP-level ticket) in the Zoo’s the Safari Lodge -- the only air-conditioned space at WaZoo -- with early entry at 6:30 p.m. The Zoo will close at 3 p.m. August 2 for set up of WaZoo, which takes place rain or shine.  Animals are not on exhibit during the event.  All inclusive tickets start at $55 (early bird general admission) and will be on sale in June at Follow WaZoo on Facebook.

Zoo Run Run presented by Sagicor Life Insurance Company
Saturday, August 23 • Check-in 6:30 a.m., Race 7:30 a.m., Walk 8 a.m., Fun Run 9:15 a.m.
Join Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo for the 12th annual Zoo Run Run, a 5K run that winds through the Zoo and along the scenic Hillsborough River.  Children can enter a special "Fun Run" which follows the 5K.  Walk-ups are accepted the day of the run. Visit or call 813-935-8552 for information.

FY14 General Information

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is operated by the Lowry Park Zoological Society, an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to excellence in education, conservation and research. The Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and has been named the No. 1 zoo in America by both Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004). The Zoo is located at 1101 W. Sligh Avenue in Tampa, one mile west of I-275 (exit 48) and is open seven days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with extended hours on select nights during special events. The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Zoo daytime admission prices are: adult - $24.95, seniors (60+) - $22.95, children ages 3-11 - $19.95, and children 2 and under are free.  Daytime admission includes amusement rides.  Parking is free.
